This coin is not yet in my possession, so I apologize for the photos, it's the best I can do right now. Owner claims it is from the German States, 1610 to 1618. I have looked until I am seeing this coin in my sleep and can't find it. Does anyone recognize this particular coin, would like to know the country, denomination and date time if possible or any combination to point me in the right direction. I thank you in advance for any help.

Thanks, Mike

I can read "MATH I D G", for Mathias I, holy roman emperor, so date range is correct.
here is a similar looking item

diameter would help constrain search

Mr. Midnight,

Thank you for your response, will try to get the diameter this morning and update my posting. I am interested in purchasing the coin from the individual, I just have to decide if it's worth $65.00, his asking price....besides it has a small hole in it also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mike
It's not from a German State but from the Spanish Netherlands, City of Kampen in Overijssel. I believe that coin is not on Numista yet. I already have a match for the obverse but not yet for the reverse. The weight would be very helpful.
I will also try to get the weight to put into my posting update....thank you.
I found the coin, it is on Numista:

Meanwhile I did find it too, although Krause says it's an "Arendschelling":

And here's the coin on Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces71163.html
The only difference is the legend. The one on Numista has on the obverse MATTHIAS I and AVG at the end, yours has MATHI I and AVGV at the end, but different legends is not uncommon in that time period.
A small hole is not uncommon either.
the details are very nice, $65 is probably fair.
