Counterfeit San Marino 5 Lire

Hello all,

I recently bought a coin lot and this was included:

This coin is an obvious fake. The face looks odd, all the details are off, and it doesn't feel like silver in hand.
My question is this: is this a contemporary counterfeit or a modern replica? It would be odd for someone to manufacture such a low value coin today.

There are examples of counterfeit 5 and 10 centessimi coins from Sam Marino dated 1935. For some very strange reason

That really is poor imitation. It seems to be a portrait of a different lady! Maybe it is a work of vanity!
