Please identify and evaluate coin!

I did not find the exact one, but it may guide you in the right direction.

Thank you very much for your response. This coin was recently found in one of the former Soviet Union Republic. It is Aleksandr the Great coin, but on Nica's side, we can see sphynx. I was trying to find the same one but failed. It is unknown variation.

Assuming it is genuine and gold, it is Impossible to say because ultimately it would sell only for what somebody is willing to pay for it. A good start would be the gold value and some assumptions would have to be made until the actual gold content could be determined after testing. Assume it is approximately 80% (20K) gold for instance. 8.5g x $45.81/g =$389 and go from there. Personally, I would offer no more than bullion value but I am sure you could find someone to purchase it at a premium above bullion value. The question is how much more.

Probably send this for an official coin grading. If this is indeed the only one known - could be worth a few million.

I have written to Mr. David Vagi director of NGC ( Numismatic Guaranty Corporation). He confirmed that this coin is unknown and not attributed.
There is no coin with sphynx among Aleksandr the Great gold staters except this one!
Is there anyone who can advice how should I proceed in order to realize this coin ?

Find dealers or auction houses that handle rare Aleksandr the Great gold staters and show it to them in person.

(Be be prepared for disappointment -- you might be told it isn't a genuine valuable coin.)
