Hello everyone, first of all I wish you a pleasant day! Please help me evaluate the grade of this coin. The pictures are not the best, but I appreciate your effort and good will. Thank you for your time in evaluating this coin. Sincerely, Philosopher
and welcome to Numista.
The 20 Franc Marianne / Coq was such a popular and successful coin that there were many restrikes in the following years and some years led to enormous mintages.
Due to the large number of copies and the condition, I rate the coin as an investment coin and this means bullion (gold) value.
You should still be happy to have this coin. It is a very beautiful motif and the coin will always have its value.

Thanks for the welcome, the site is very interesting. I wish the forum was a little more active. I am very happy to have this coin, it is not in the best condition but it is still beautiful.
I agree with everything said however in my opinion the value is bullion + 5 or 10%, finding gold coins at bullion value is rare even if they're just investment coins. If I was looking to buy such a coin I'd offer bullion + 5%.

Thanks, I have no intention of selling it. I’m interested in its value among numismatists, I don’t care how much it could sell for. Thanks for the comment.
