Roman Denarius ID [решено]

Hi, does anyone know who the emperor is on this silver Denarius? It comes from the UK and the diameter is 13mm. Thanks.

Any chance of photos with a better lightsource and a plain white background? Judging from the portrait alone I'd say Geta but with better photos I think the legend or at least part of it could be readable to be sure.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. Not sure if this is any better? The legend by the portrait is right on the edge of the coin and difficult to read.

Can't read the obverse but the reverse if PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS, my guess is it's either Caracalla or Geta, more likely Caracalla as I can't find PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS examples of Geta, only PRINC IVVENTVTIS. A young portrait so most likely while he was Caesar and not Augustus. Try matching PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS to examples here: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/caracalla/t.html

Thanks very much for the info. The closest I can find is RIC 13b so I'll go with that...
