Identifying Chinese Cash

I don't know if anyone else can relate, but sometimes I put coins aside that I can't identify. And they pile up. And up. Then you look and wonder how that pile got so big.
So I am ready to start in on China. I don't read or write Chinese. I have tried searching for some; identifying the metal, diameter, weight, sometimes I can get a mint mark, and sometimes I will try to copy the chinese characters. But I have not had good luck. So I am asking for advice. Is there an easy way for someone who doesn't read Chinese to search the database? Or is it just better to post pictures, weights, and diameters and ask others? Admittedly, I have a few.

I have the same problem and have used this guide to help although it still takes quite a bit effort and study.

If you want to swap them contact me...
First of all you might gather similar coins. Most of your coins are from the Qing dynasty and there is only a few number of emperors.
We get an interesting introduction to the Qing dynasty coinage on Numista in Numisdoc.
For example the three smalest coins are from Guangxu and you can find it on Numista
