Chinese (?) coin with a triangle hole [решено]

A few years ago, I inherited a small collection of foreign coins. All but this one I've been able to identify. I studied Japanese for 2 years in college, but it hasn't helped me at all to figure out what's written on this.

​Would you have an estimate on what year/decade this might have been made and what it would have been used for if it's an amulet and not a coin?
Maybe some info here. Seems to be made in America?

The overall design of the coin is telling me that it was not made for circulation. A token/ fantasy piece for sure. If it were a coin, it did be from 1735 to 1796 (Emperor Qianlong's reign).
