Weight is approximately 0.39g
Does it look like created from a bad die of Nagar mint? Unfortunately I can’t test gold at home.

Yes, a gold fanam from Mysore, Tipu Sultan, AM 1216 (reading right to left), Nagar mint. The weight is correct.

​Thanks for cross referencing. But do you see my concern that the flow of persian script in نك ر is not legible. It kinda seems like someone might have created a fake who didn’t understand persian script.

​On second thought, I’ve rarely seen fakes of Tipu gold fanams. Very often his 1,2 rupees.
Sorry, I can't read Persian, so can't comment on the script. Maybe another of our members will be able to do that. I would not be surprised if Islamic Indian coins don't keep very true to authentic Persian script. I too am not aware of fakes of this type.
