KM 49 is non magnetic (Copper-nickel, 1982-1992) and KM 49a is magnetic (Nickel plated steel, 1993-2012)
Date 1997 is suposed to be only in KM 49a (magnetic), but I have both, magnetic and non magnetic, in the picture below, magnetic is on the left side. The weights are 2.90gr for the non magnetic and 2.96gr for the magnetic.
Is someone be able to have more information about this? We might enter a 1997 year line for the KM 49?
I wait for your opinions.

If you don't get a response here another approach is to make a change request for KM# 49 adding text to the comment field "This was also issued in 1997" and putting your information and a link to this forum in the Source field.
Modification request done as proposed by bjherbison, hopefully it will give results, I will inform you here.
Anyway, I would like to know if this coin is common and why is it not listed in any catalog that I have been able to find out, does anyone else have this 1997 non-magnetic coin?
In relation to the subject that Essor Prof comments, you know that I think exactly the same, having the year lines closed seems something absurd to me. When you find this, many times you have to resort to the Forum or PM to the referees, actions that in most cases are ignored and forgotten.

I expect most people wouldn't bother to check whether a 1997 is actually magnetic. The knowledge base increases when curious people like you check all the details about coins they acquire.
