@apuking Thanks a lot! I already checked plenty of early denars with a church but most of them bear a big or medium size cross centered on the reverse. And nothing similar to the coin in question.
I also thought of those 10th c. types pointed out by @apuking, but maybe it's something a little different, like a domed church with towers? It's hard to see because of the condition, but this could push it later.
Either way, these were also made in places like Austria, Bohemia, Low COuntries...

@tdziemia Thanks for your input. Yesterday I checked two volumes of František Cach's "Earliest Czech coins" but still no match. I keep searching.
