Hello Everybody.

I come around one token, rather by accident. it is nice piece but i know almost nothing about it.
Please kindly advise on the token or on appropriate reference.
If this piece can be used in Numista catalog, please help to address it to proper page.

Thank you.

Nicholas

The current pictures rotated and cropped, in case it gets added ...

but would be better if the pictures were without the holder.
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
good day.

Thank you, ZakUK.

I will scan without holder but I would like to know if it worth a new one. Any hint on any reference?

Nick
When looking for "Nürnberger spiel und rechenpfennig" we get tokens made by Lauer
Note that variations exist with "Nuernberger" instead of "Nurnberger"
The issuing date is likely to be after the death of Ludwig Christian Lauer who was a medal maker in Nuremberg, Germany. He began his business in 1848. He expanded his business and in 1860 renamed it ‘coin mint L. Chr. Lauer’. He died in 1873 and the company continued under the supervision of his wife and three sons.
He was a leading 19th-century German manufacturer of medals, tokens, play money and related products. He exported items to the UK and competed against the well-known Birmingham mints of the day.
