Irregular, thick coin with Arabic, maybe? Indian Princely State?

Hello,

I recently bought this coin which I cannot identify. It's fairly worn but seems to have Arabic or an Arabic-like language on both sides. I can't see any images or other identifying marks on either side. I'm wondering if it's from an Indian princely state, but it could be from somewhere else. I looked through images of Indian princely state coins and didn't see a match. Its diameter is 20 mm and it is about 8 mm thick (no writing along edge). I included one photo of one side and two photos of the other side, which is the more smoothed-down side.

Thank you for your help.

David

can you find a gram scale and weigh it for us, also how wide is it, in mm?
with that information then we can search databases.

Hey,

The diameter is 20 mm and it is 8 mm thick (noted in original post). It weighs about 20 grams. Thanks for your quick reply and I look forward to seeing what your search yields.

Have brightened and cropped the first two photos to aid in identification

From the weight, shape, and general appearance, this could be a Takka from Jodhpur, but I didn't find a match in Zeno. Here are some examples for comparison:

http://search.zeno.ru/index.php?v=0&ae=on&c=Jodhpur&t=&k=&d=&wmin=19&wmax=21&smin=19&smax=21&m=&ymin=&ymax=&y=&u=&a=&e=&f=0&s=0&p=2
Thanks for that suggestion.

Does anyone have further suggestions? Can anyone read the inscription on either side?
