LVD XV Coin with Palm Tree on Reverse

This coin belongs to my father who doesn’t recall where he got it. 2.5cms in diameter and 1mm in thickness. Made of, or plated, in an unknown metal which doesn’t tarnish and is light in weight. Does anyone have any information on this coin, please?

That second image has lettering starting top right.
IOH ALBR[E]CHT DORN RE[CH] PF
and some of it [in bold] is obscured under the extra metal either side of the tree.
It refers to Iohann Albrecht Dorn, 1732 – 1783

Location: German states (Germany)
Type: Utility items › Counter token
Value: Rechenpfennig
Composition: Brass

It was made in Nuremberg to sell in France, with their King on it.
LVD XV D G FR ET N REX
[Louis 15th, by the Grace of God, King of France and Navarre]

I have a few myself.
