Would it be possible to adjust the catalog to have the option to add the coins separately? For example the variety is already acknowledged within the forum. Can you add a option for variety 1 as well as variety 2 with the double neck? Out of personal interest it would be useful to keep track of not only individual years but varieties as well.
I thought I added a picture of the coin but it doesnt seem to have attached. The coin i am referring to is 1000 bolivars, 2005
When you reference coin please make it easier for the rest of us and include a link to the Numista page.
In this case: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5482.html
1000 Bolívares 2005
And here is the coin in the Numismatic Catalog of Venezuela:
https://www.numismatica.info.ve/en/coins/mv1000bs-ba01@.htm

In some cases varieties have separate lines. For example: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces482.html (two lines for 1862 BB).

I don't think we want lines for every minor variation, and I have no suggestions on how to write guidelines explaining when varieties should have a separate line and when they shouldn't.
If you look at the catalog of early US coins you'll see many varieties have separate year lines. It really depends on the referee. The criteria being used is that the variety has to be listed separately in a major reference catalog such as The Red Book, SCWC and PCGS.
I agree with not having a line for every minor variation, however the coin in question only exists in one year, 2005. So having a second variety wouldn't cause any real issues in this case. However I just think if it is a variant that was worth mentioning in the notes section it should be listed as its own variety.
In my opinion it is not a variety in this case.
It looks like an error like double die or error in casting dies.
For me a variety is introduced by someone to have a minor diffrenence (e.g. to detect different mints), any error in producing process is not a variety, its just an error.

If this was a USA coin it would have been accepted as a separate coin, example https://en.numista.com/catalogue/entry.php?id=120843. If this had been the 1917 DDO it would have had a separate option, all I am asking is that coins of all types should be added to the catalog and represented as its own individual coin. This website has one of the most remarkable and accurate catalogs of numismatic history, to acknowledge a variety within the description of the coin but not add a second option seems incomplete. If this had been a USA error Red book and pcgs would have acknowledged its existence, I see biases when it comes to world coins vs us coins. I hope that this people reading this can at least see that us varieties are most definitely favored. It shouldn’t be a discussion, this coin exits, without question. All I ask is that the moderator for this coin to at least entertain the idea to add this to the list. It is one coin, on a page that only has one option. It would not cause any issues in my opinion, but allow the people who do collect world coins and varieties to keep a accurate account of what the posses. I feel I have said all I can on the subject, I hope that whoever reads this post can at least see and understand what I am saying. Below is a copy of the page, the double neck varieties are stated already. On a page with only one option for one coin, to add a secondary option for the variety would not cause any issue in the long run. I appreciate the time you all have taken to entertain this topic.

Comments
A double-neck variety exists:

It is up to referees to decide what is minor variety and what is a variety that deserves to have separate line.

The variety is already in the catalog in the comments, as it should be.
