According to Bing translate, the obverse translates to: Honorary citizen of the market town of Feucht

Hermann Oberth is one of the founding fathers of rocket science apparently.

I'm guessing the other two are big names in science or industry too, but I can't find much in a quick search.

"What we are is not as important as what we aren't"

Feucht: little town near Nuernberg, Bavaria (Franconia), Germany. Has an important space museum.

Medal released in the early 1960s (??) remembering three honorary citizens of Feucht:

-Hermann Oberth (1894-1989), physicist and rocket pioneer, honoray citizen of Feucht 1959

-Friedrich Stoer (1866-1947), designer of the city shield of Feucht, honorary citizen of Feucht 1933

-Georg Hoffmann (1871-1951), mayor of Feucht, introduced electrification of the town, honorary citizen of Feucht 1933

I always wonder if the person putting up the question (OP) knows how to use google? But it's so easy to ask numista and immediately you have answers even without having used our procedure

I personally don't think we help anybody by just giving the straight answer, please let the OP do some work as well.

Sjoelund, you are partially right … but only partially!!!!

I put in my Numista-Profile, under the question “what christianvl wants” the following: learning through numismatics.

And when an OP puts an interesting / atractive / odd numismatic question or topic into this forums, why shouldn't I look and search in my library and/or Google for an answer which will not only  help the OP but give me and the other members of this community some nice, useful (and hopefully correct) information??

Do ut des ….

Best regards

Basically you're right, but I simply don't have the time to answer posts like this:

I also have a 1 euro coin with the 1999 tree, is it worth anything?

No images, no measurements, shortly said just somebody just thinking about becoming “rich”.

This is the reason, why I normally don't bother, but I do help with well founded questions, so I'm not 100% negative either!

Dear friends!

glorkar  and christianvl - I am very grateful to you for the historical information!

Sjoelund - I made the required corrections in my post. Sorry again!

And now I need more qualified help: this token/medal has any catalog number or it's only a souvenir of the Space museum of Feucht city.

Thank you all for your help!
