Mughal Empire (India) Coin

Hello. I need help identifying this coin from the Mughal Empire. I bought it from a reputable dealer that I have been using for years (friends of the family that run their own gallery/auction house), so I am fairly confident that it is genuine.

What I know:

Issuer: Mughal Empire

Weight - 11.17g

Diameter - Roughly 22-23mm

Composition: Silver

Script: Nastaliq

What I may know:

- Possibly minted in Shajahanabad

- Possibly minted during the 18th century

- Possibly mentions the names of either Muhammad Shah or Ahmad Shah Bahadur (I think it says Ahmed or Muhammad on the first row of the first picture, as well as Ghazi? I'm not too sure)

- Possibly says “Sahib-e-Quran Sanee” on the second row of the first picture. Again, I'm not too sure.

Any help is much appreciated. If a link to the Numista page for this coin can be provided, then I will be truly grateful. Thank you!

Pretty good match, except for the second line on the first photo, so I think the cited coin is close but not exactly right. Hopefully one of our members can read it and provide the final missing details.

Good catch! What are your thoughts on this below?

The first photo in this thread matches the first photo in the link above. The second photo is different though from the one I provided.

Yes, I would agree this second citation is a match. As often happens for hand-struck coins, the striking position on the flan differs somewhat, but this is normal, and all the writing matches. The date on your coin appears to be 113X (at the edge about 2 o'clock on the first photo). It's possible that under magnification with the coin in hand you might be able to narrow down the last digit.

I do see a regnal year of 7 in your second photo (at 6 o'clock).  Looking at the Krause listings for Muhammad Shah's rupees, regnal year 7 corresponds to AH 1137 or 1138.
