Token or rare undocumented coin - Two Dime chinese coin? [решено]

4 сообщений • просмотрено 136 раз

I have found for sale a odd Denomination chinese coin with a face value of  “Two Dime”

Seller claims it is from a estate sale “About the size of a US quarter & it is silver”

I have a strong feeling this is a token or fantasy issue as there does not seem to be any references to this Denomination online nor is there a listing on numista,

still you never know.

Just wanting to confirm this isn't a real coin is it?

It's an evocation of these 宣统三年 Xuantong three years patterns 大清銀幣 Qing silver coins , not so far from the Numista token 2022 😉

The thrid year of Xuantong : 1911

Interesting I would wonder how old this one was or if it was used as a circulation counterfeit for change for a Yuan dollar.

No it was valued at tenth or quarter dollar, for very rare patterns
