Looking for opinions on grading and fair value on two coins [решено]

Hi,

I found these 2 coins in a lot I am buying from a friend.  I would like to know what you think would be a fair grading and value to offer for each of these two.

1. AUSTRIA  2 Kreuzer - Ferdinand I 1848

2. FRANCE 2 Sols - Louis XVI (FRANÇAIS) 1792-1793

Thank you for your time.

1. XF. A little too much wear to make it to AU. Numista value.

2. F (1793BB). Seeing some verdigris unfortunately. I feel Numista value on this coin is very inflated. Use discretion.

Hello!

The 2 coins are in pretty good condition for bronze coins of low denominations, frequently found hardly used in circulation. They are quite commun, especially the austrian coin.

But,in better grades as these, they have quite high catalogue values(KM):

1) the austrian 1848 coin has a value between 20 and 50 usd. But,with almost 8 millions minted that year,I don't know who will pay 50$ (in XF-)…

I say,a fair price would be 15-20$

2) for the french 1793BB(Strasbourg mint)coin, the KM cat. gives values between 30 and 80usd. for preservation states(like yours!) of Fine/V.F. ; Also,BB is a better mint mark.

But,again,I believe that a fair price would be about 30$ for this coin, perhaps a little more(as older & scarcer than the other coin in better grades).

Harry, Andi,

Thank you for your advice. Much appreciated.

The first one would get a good F to VF in my books (I don't think the shielded coppery parts are original) you can compare with an UNC specimen HERE

The other is a bit more difficult but I would say F with damages and corrosion
