1566 - large lion England sixpence, i owe roderick07 a substantive picture

At the time that this detail went into the England - Elizabeth I sixpence page, I had talked the referee into stating that 1566 existed in large lion initial mark, but at the time he was generous and let that go into the page as I had not actually substantiated it.  There was an earlier historyincoins entry on eBay, that had pictures, but it had fallen off their records retention limit by the time I was last talking about this

Here we can see that the lion is more horizontally stretched than the ‘vertical’ mintmark variant.

Obviously this does not meet strict submission guidelines where it could actually go on one of the pages, but is just here so they can see that it's based in reality.

This is an actual buy it now listing at the moment that is current.  Too spendy for me!

Oh they actually chose a large lion as the sample picture and I didn't even look

so we need a scrunchy small lion (at least in this forum post) for comparison : this is a 67 but it of course exists also as 66 this way

Cheers everyone
