Ive got an cut half of a coin id like and try to get an id on

Hello,my friend! Please be so kind to tell me WHY you want to make efforts to identify the old coin from which you have now only a small fragment?! The remaining piece you have is too little that it's hard to identify the intire coin… Anyhow,as a collectable value, such a fragment is worth zero(at least,if not made of gold)! Believe me,your & our efforts to such a purpose are not worth the work, time…

The lettering in the first photo is presumably (MON)ETA NOVA …. which is not very helpful since many medieval coins have this as part of their legend.
On the cross side I think we have a word that ends with VS, and then ??NO (?? for two letters I cannot determine). The VS could be end of a ruler's name (KAROLVS, HENRICVS, etc.)
Not much to go on.
Amazing!

I think that this is very close to yours.

Disagree.
There are important coins found only in small pieces, the cut medieval coins are very collectibles and can be identified most of the time. There are half/quarter and fragment of coins in museums.
