I need help to identify an old coin - looks like middle age and may be from Germany. 0,49 gram, 18 mm diameter and composition is silver.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much Mariusz. I,m really impressed over your expertise.

For me it looks like N#155640 because I can see remnants of a X outside the circle on the top of the reverse side and in addition some weak marks also outside the circle.

Do you have an idea of the value?

Kind regards

The value will be best determined by the auction. It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay. I think between 10 and 30 euros. So much in the shops ...

I greet you.

Thank you again very much

in ebay you can find this  Händlein-Heller  7 - 20 Euro depending on the quality..

Interesting is the meaning of the hand. There are some funny explanations. Most interesting for me is the relation to Genesis 38:28

Perez and Zerah were the sons from Juda.

“Perez's twin brother Zerah first stretched out his hand during the delivery, to which a red thread was tied for recognition. However, the hand disappeared again and Perez was born first, after him Zerah was born” (Gen 38:29 )

So the heritage of the kingdom fell to Perez and Zerah left the country.  Zerah s symbols became the rampant lion and the hand

Thank you for the explanation and information of the symbol.
