Hi, Im familiar with Australian coins but I found this in my collection and had never looked at it much but since learning more about coins I am wondering if this is an error coin? The reverse is upside down when you turn the coin over, I haven't been able to find any the same online and I am hoping someone more knowledgeable could help me find out if it is normal or an error coin and what it could be valued at please and thank you :) It is bronze, 1884. Diameter 30mm Weight 11.52 grams

Hi,

This is not an error coin. It is struck in coin alignment, which means when you flip the coin horizontally - the reverse will be upside down.

In a medal alignment, the coin will be right side up when you flip horizontally.

Attached is a screenshot of the listing in Numsita and added an arrow to where it shows the coin alignment.

Thank you so much for sharing that info I really appreciate it, I had read that American coins are struck that way but couldn't find much on my coin, I am in awe of how much people know, I ve just started to get a little obsessed with checking my coins for interesting ones. Thank you again.
