Hi All,
I really hope you can help. A friend has asked for help identifying coins in the attached pictures for a friend of theirs. My guess is that they are a couple hundred years before my particular interests start. I've manged to identify some from the collection, but these I'm stuck on. I'm seeing these things in my sleep!

There are around 20 different varieties I'm stuck on, but don't want to blast them all here at once. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never aspire to have more, aspire to be more. (unless we're talking collecting of course).

I can eliminate Poland for you.

On several of these the legend appears to be something like MONETA A ROM BOR, but the gothic letter forms are sometimes hard to decipher (for instance, maybe those Rs are Hs or Ns, etc.).

Wherever they are from (and I agree with Bohemia or nearby as likely suspects), I suspect the era is late 14th to early 16th c.

It will help to give an idea of the sizes (are we looking for pfennigs/denars?  ½ groschen?)

I think someone will recognize them before long.

First coin found:  Silesia, Teschen-Auschwitz, 15th century heller.  https://wcn.pl/archive/331346?q=%C5%9Al%C4%85sk+halerz&page=2

Second coin found.  Silesia, Duchy of Ratbor, 15th century heller.  https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=9973861.

Third coin probably:  Silesia, Bytom, 15th century heller:  https://wcn.pl/archive/78_0075?q=%C5%9Al%C4%85sk+halerz&page=2

Interesting group of coins.  The second one probably worth 100 - 150 euro due to the good centering and condition, the third is scarcer, and probably also in the 150 euro range..

Great work. Thank you. I was going through everything I could find for Silesia but couldn't find these.

I'll ask for measurements and weights. There's a language barrier so someone else has to ask.

When these are solved, there are some more. I'm hoping I'll be able to see them in the flesh and take some good pictures as many examples of the ones I've identified only have poor condition examples photographed.

At this point, we only need the dimensions of the last coin.  The others should all be about 13 mm and 0.3 g.

Here is the last one, which is in our catalog:  N#133833

If you are satisfied with these identifications, please change the second part of your title to read “15th c. Silesian / Bohemian Hellers .”

It is indeed difficult to find coins like this, because the place names can show up in German, Polish or Czech (Ratibor/Ratiborz, Teschen/Cieszyn, Gorlitz/Zgorzelec).

Looking forward to seeing other coins in this collection!

Fantastic, Thank you very much for your help. I'm totally lost in this area. I will try and get hold of some of these to photograph and submit new pictures.

I'll start another post with some of the others, which I'm even more lost with.

I owe you a pint, or maybe even lunch if you're ever in this part of the world.
