I've a question about these models, were they minted by the Royal Mint? Are they considered as patterns?

The name Lindauer rings a bell.
But also I think they were 'toy' money, just for playing games with. Like an early version of Monopoly money.

I know you never said it, and I have not opened the link. I say that as I remember reading a Topic a long time ago and I remembered that name. :°

Here - I typed Lindauer in the Forum Search, and this is the Topic I remembered ...

Yes.

The bimetallic one penny model is more expensive if i remember well?

Yes, and even more expensive are the two varieties - again I am remembering. One has PENNY wrongly spelled as PENNEY, and the other has a date on it.
In that Forum search there are many pages in the French section with Lindauer on. Still not sure whether that is the name of a person or a company, or how many different coins (or model coins) there are.

I do not undersand why you speak of lindauer... 8~  it's who desin the 5, 10 and 25 cents issued from 1914 to 1940.

Do yo know a listing of these models? What differents values? Does a book catalog them?

Oh I've understand. You've made a confusion between Lindauer and Lauer.

Lindauer is an french engravor.

Lauer is the name of a Nuremberg mintmasters famlily. They mint tokens like european coins and resized. I had a 5 pesetas of Alfonso XII as it. They were use for comptability.

This is the 5 pesetas: https://fr.numista.com/catalogue/pieces28026.html

The value can also be exprimed in lauer.

I hope my english is clear in my explanations...

An example of lauer sovereign: http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/opac/search/cataloguedetail.html?&priref=158622&_function_=xslt&_limit_=50#1

The mintmaster is Christian Lauer.

They were made for buttons too.. I got a holed one £1 and sold it for £3 lol ! They are worth keeping I think as a reminder to how bloody small they are its hard to believe they regularly sell for between £40-£70 ! Same as the three half pence for the size of it they are expensive, although there is always deals to be had I missed out on a proper 1/4 farthing in a lot of "4 ceylon coins" which also included a 1-1/2d for £20 "o
I got x2 1-1/2d's for £6 recently !
