First time I can`t find any information about coin…

Maybe someone can help me? Thank you!

no final id, only two ideas which might help:

Inscription is abbreviation of moneta nova civitas reval.

Issuer seems to be swedish Estonia, a very similar coat of arms can be found on a 1562 coin.

I did not search exonumia, in my opinion it's a coin, not in catalog so far.

Hello it's not a coin, it's a monetary weight and yes Swedish Estonia.

PS: Year could be 1516 or 1616, the numbers 1 and 6 are left and right of the coat of arms. I prefer 1516, later dates are complete.

Welcome to numista!

If it is a weight, the numbers might be the value of the coin for which it is a weight (rather than a date).

Since no information can be found on this item, the possibility of a countefeit should also be considered.

Thanks for your thoughts and help!

So, the metallographic examination showed that this is old metal, not refined silver. It's good! After all, a fake is not made in one piece, I think.  I`m not sure it is exagia. I have never seen silver kettlebells. True, this only means that I did not see them, and nothing more.

I think it's a coin after all. The numbers are not 18, but 48. Most likely, it is the year 1548. The weight is close to the mark. I found something similar and rare from neighboring Latvia.

Hello, Andre!

Your version has a right to exist because no one has given this item to this day. One my friend collect monetary weight (exagium) for over 20 years and says he has never had a silver one. Have you seen any example of a silver monetary weight? I completely agree with you about the explanation of the legend.

Yes i have seen a monetary weight in silver before, a long time ago, that's why i think it is, now i could be wrong, but i have done quite a bit of research on the side of  Estonia of what you have I did not find anything concerning a coin, that is why I think it is a monetary weight, I also did not find anything concerning the coin which could correspond, I  would do some more research on the city of Reval, but I really think it's a monetary weight, I'll do some research on the monetary weights of Estonia and get back to you, best regards

I will be grateful to you!
