I recently received a few of these in a lot I purchased, and have done my best to try and find a match, but have had no luck. They feature a quite distinctive ‘pretzel’ border design that I have not seen elsewhere. Figured I'd inquire here.
Diameter: 21.7 - 25.3 mm (irregularly shaped)
Thickness: 1.5 - 1.8 mm
Weight: 4.3 - 5.4 g

I don't think this is from India, but unfortunately can't say much more than that. It's clearly Islamic, so hopefully one of our experts in Islamic coins will be able to help.
I was uncertain, as I know there are a number of Indian coins which predominately feature Persian calligraphy. However, you may be correct, and this may not be from India, but I haven't been able to find a lead.

Been trying my hand at doing some further investigation on these, and I've found that they resemble some of the coins minted under the Kingdom of Georgia, this one here (N# 159513) being a suitable example: Arabic calligraphy, and a similar border design on the obverse, the pretzel or ‘heart-shaped’ rosettes. However, I haven't found a precise match yet. I'm more certain of the general region at least, now.

I have also attempted to transcribe the calligraphy for clearer identification. My Arabic is non-existent, and these may be woeful representations, but if they help…
