What would the value for the 1917 One Penny coin be?

less than $1

Nice ghosting in the penny

but yeah, less than $ 1

Another opportunity to post this quote from one of my favorite books -

"They sat thus night after night recalling that fatal Friday, till every detail of it was stamped on their brains and came through on the other side like the faces on a bad coinage."
-Peter Pan and Wendy , Barrie, J. M. (1911)

There is a webshop where lots of circulated euro coins are being offered for hundreds of euros each as ‘rare finds’. It is rather amusing to check out the utter nonsense offers like 'vintage' from the nineties (circulated 1999 France 50 eurocents for 990,40 euros). Such ‘sellers’ would definitely try to sell that penny for at least a $1000 as a 'rare ancient coin' with an amazing halo. The euro coin on the picture is a beach find, a stunning piece of art by nature, definitely worth MORE than $1! (at the current exchange rate)
That penny was well spent for our thoughts, considering the poetry shared by Mr. Midnight.

Besides coins I love geometry. The avatar consists of each of the 35 hexominoes used precisely once. With the 5 large yellow shapes placed like this, the solution for tiling the remaining 30 hexominoes is unique.

Can i have that website? I want to enjoy it too.

Sure, I'll pm you as I don't want to send people there to buy stuff in general. If anyone else reads this who wants a link, then please send me a personal message.

I just found the 1917 penny on this website with lots of cheaters I mentioned above, it is for sale for 596,13 euros, inclusive of any taxes and with FREE delivery!!! Stunning that it comes with free delivery. Three people have it in their shopping cart, either to make it appear as if it a wanted coin or maybe some have it in their shopping cart simply because it is such an outrageous offer.
The same swindler also offers a 1949 5 pesetas coin for ‘just’ 6449,49 euros. I don't have that coin in my collection, but I'll pass on the offer. According to Numista the actual value is about 2.4 euros.
