I don't know if it's a coin or a medal. At the top it has a little mark which looks like it could be where you would connect a necklace. (pic 2)

I can make out some writing on the side but only a few letters here and there.

The picture on one side looks like lions holding a shield with a crescent moon and stars on.

And the other is the same shield surrounded by reefs I think.

No idea on origin although my nan found on a beach in Wales.

Would love to know what it is :)

Thank you

weight and diameter would be helpful.

Pictures cropped - and yes need diameter …

Second picture almost looks like baden to me..

Probably wrong.

*inspecting a Roman mintmark*

 Some lettering added …

Red - fairly certain, Green - not sure.

Thank you so much for all your help so far.

It weighs 34 grams

And is 37 mm in diameter

I hope this helps :)

The Coat of Arms looks a LOT like Singapore, and it would match the lettering as well. Just can't find what coin/ medal exactly it'd be.

Could be - that would explain the top right of second picture.

I put SIN then part of an unknown curved letter, which would

then make it SING visible. Thanks :)

I can try and clean it maybe. There is also some lettering on the side I'll try and get some clear pics of this if I can.

What is the best thing to use to clean something like this? :)

Wow It is the Singapore coat of arms! It matches exactly. You lot are good at this !! :)

So I have found online a singapore police long service medal.

One side matches exactly the other one does not so I assume it's just another version of one of these medals.

You guys are brilliant ty so much :)

Inscription on the other side looks to be the same:

PINGAT BAKTI SETIA (loyalty medal)

 Agreed. Thanks.
