Hi.

I wonder if I have found the correct KM for this coin?  Looking at the reverse I’m not shore. The end of the bird is not the same and the portrett side as well.

Maybe say which KM number, and show the other side.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

Please, also dimensions would be nice to have?

Hello - if only the end of the bird - everything is different, if it is a 3 tailor.

Compare and search and please really post both sides of the coin weights and sizes as well.

There is "Wol" everywhere, only at yours,, Wola,,?

Yes, that is KM# 500. While Krause documented the Silesia-Liegnitz-Brieg coins from around 1622 in excruciating detail when they got to 1669 they just lumped everything together. There are dozen of different letterings and who knows how many different dies for KM# 500. (Of course, some I've seen might be counterfeits.)

Just looking at the last word in the lettering I've seen these variations.

WO

WOL

WOLA

WOLAV

WOLAVI

WOLAVIENS

Of those six, at least four of them are represented in coins dated 1669 – I've seen all but the first and last for 1669.

Yes on variety of inscriptions, as pointed out by bjherbison.

The reference from the more detailed E-M catalog can be found here: https://one.bid/en/coins-silesia-chrystian-volovsky-3-krajcary-1669-cb-brzeg/1822513.

Some other varieties (more-or-less) can be found attributed like this:

ET WOL is E-M 229

ET WOLAV is E-M 237

& WOLAV is E-M 238/239

& WOLAVI is E-M 242

1.6 grams

The obverse legend ending with SI I've only seen for 1669. I've seen two reverse legends connected to SI, “…&WOLA” (as pictured above) and “…E.WOL”.

Christian's 3 krajcars of 1669. The return to minting the denomination of 3 krajcars in 1668 and 1669-1670, is related to the completely different iconography of the depiction of the prince's portrait on the obverse and the eagle with a mitre ending the obverse legend (instead of a rosette or punctuation mark) on the reverse, which is related to the change of the mincmaster, who since 1666 has been Christoph Bretschneider (C-B). On both the obverse and reverse, the punctuation of the letter N is scored incorrectly (mirror-image). Variety with the WOLA ending and ET ligature on the reverse.

As pointed out by bjherbison, your subtype is distinguished by legend ending SI obverse, and & WOLA reverse.

This makes it different from both my earlier post (before the obverse was shown) and doc-man's post which has ET WOLA reverse.

Maybe E-M 230:  https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=5069850

Very nice coin, by the way!
