Can someone explain to me why there is a yearline “Undetermined” in https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces8941.html? The coin is minted in 2009 and I'm absolutely positive that I didn't enter it under “Undetermined”.

I think the year should be 2009 and “Undetermined” should be a comment in the yearline, right?

They say "Pecunia non olet", but I know better...

Ok, but then the year on the line should still reflect 2009 and not ”Undetermined”, as the coin was only struck in 2009. Whether it is raised or incuse is not affecting the year.

Your coin was probably put there from another page with less variants and because it's impossible to know  what variant it would be the users were put under undetermined. At least that's how it done with many other coins that get moved from a generic year line to a page with a more granular year line layout.

It is “undetermined” amongst the yearlines; if all yearlines share the same date, it is implied ofc the year is the same.
Feel free maybe to post an “idea to improve Numista” being like “when all yealines have exact same date, display this date also in the Undetermined version

It is implied indeed, but the API return no Issue for this coin, thus no date, messing up my data.

This is not an idea to improve Numista, this is correcting wrong information on the coin page. The year is not undetermined, the variety is. Thus, the year should reflect 2009 and the comment on the line should be Undetermined.

Let's poke @Xavier if you don't want to create a specific thread about this improvement ^^

Year lines (called “issues” in the API) are an indivisible set of information containing the year, the mint letter, a variant comment, etc.

A coin in your collection is either assigned to a specific year line or “undetermined”. In order to keep the catalogue clear, we don't create year lines to record collections with only partial data, like known year but unknown variant. This may evolve in the future with a better way to record varieties, but no such thing is planned yet. So, if the variant is unknown, your coin is recorded as “undetermined” and associated to no year lines.

Using the API, you may still get the year in such cases where the coin was issued during a single year. See the fields ‘min_year’ and ‘max_year’ in the response of GET /types/{type_id}.
