True. The only S mint marks on a $1 coin in 1971 were on the non-circulating silver one. This is not that.

Smile srry for being short

Lucky me

I’m new to this and you’re not helping  anyone

If you're new to this you should listen to the people who are not new to this. Telling everyone is wrong and you are the only one who's not isn't helping anyone either, especially not yourself.

Of course it's not pleasant to discover a coin you think is real most probably isn't, but rsirian1's last pictures of the obverse of the Rama IV coin are very convincing. When it's too good to be true it mostly is.

And nobody hates you, they only want to help you with an honest opinion, but when you keep talking like in your last post they might start, not hating you but ignoring you.

Lucky me, I suggest you pick a couple of the coins you are most confident about and send them to NGC or PCGS for certification.

For coins that are potentially worth many thousands of dollars, it is a risk of only $100 or so, and then you can see if the professional graders agree with you or not.  If you are continuing to be an active collector, this is a reasonable investment to inform your judgement.

The opinions being given here are by collectors, some of them also professional delaers, with many years of experience, who are operating based on your photographs and their experience.

The TPGs have other tools they can deploy with the objects in hand.

Good luck!
