I see a couple of worn silver coins (UK florin and Shilling?) a few solid coins, QEII and GVI colonials but a lot of dreck. I have no idea what value the banknotes might have but I'm guessing it's a bulk lot which means anything under $8 per pound is a decent price for the coins. If you are able to identify at least a handful of coins you are looking for it makes it more attractive a bid.
It's safe to assume that the seller has carefully placed any silver coins where they can be seen so don't expect to find another dozen hidden under the junk, sellers are not that dumb. If you do find more, then consider it an unexpected bonus.
You will for sure get your money back in the form of the sheer enjoyment of searching through the lot.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

Цитата: tony_k_1965would like your opinion on this collection please. How much would you pay?
I did bought a collection like this in Holland for 100 euro. 3 pounds German pfennings, 2 pounds dutch sent, but there was enough silver and even a gold coin in that pile.
The Jamaican penny and British silver are all that stands out to me. I would not go over $20 (U.S.)...
Or I'd offer to buy it by weight.. A lot like this I'd offer about $4 - $5 per pound (U.S.) maximum.
Well I decided to go for it, pleased I did as I have pulled out 40+ silver coins and several quit scarce coins. will post a few pics later tonight. If you read this mark I got a few you will be interested in.
