Hi, I was in the oldest pub in Dunlin today and couldn't belive the amount of banknotes adorning the walls. Shame about the graffiti though! I recommend this pub if you are ever visiting Dublin. Happy St. Patrick's day everyone. Bren
I was at a pub in England many years ago and I saw the pub had the same thing too. The barman told me that the banknotes posted on the wall were donated by visitors from all over the world. I suppose this is quite a common in your part of the world? All you need is for one to start this and more will follow.
Also, I was in a similar place in New Orleans, Louisiana, that pasted one dollar bills to the wall that the guests signed and paid for. It was probably the greenest restaurant I’ve ever been to. Great gumbo as well!

Thanks.
In this country any graffiti writing on a legal banknote is against the law.
The Brazen Head has a room dedicated to the emergency services from all over the world. There's are some amazing badges on the walls in the little room on the right. So if you're heading to Dublin…don't forget to visit this great pub…they also do food. 🙂
