Hi,
I have two Chinese Qing silver 'Dragon Dollars', and would like to have them authenticated.
These look more real than fake.

I'd 80% sure that these two are real.

The one on the left looks a bit more fake.
Check their weight - allow a little less for wear.

Those "fake" photos are obvious fakes.

The province characters don't match up to the English, and that's a very common mistake with Chinese dollar counterfeiters. The reason why I'm so confident that the two dollar coins are real is because of the rims and the colouring, which make up like half of it being real or not, and then the lettering is correct as well. If you really want to be sure, do a density test, and check if the reeding is consistent. Fake silver coins have inconsistent reeding, almost as if they were pressed on.

I was actually expecting the one on the right to be fake.
They are supposed to be 1903 and 1909 respectively.
Just one more thought: give them a test with a magnet!
Not magnetic, I'm pleased to say.
BTW does anyone know the little scribbles in the middle of the reverse, between the Chinese characters
mean ?

It means the province name and (I think) the ruler. I'm not Mongol so I don't know for sure.

Here's the follow up to the Dragon dollars-ROC Dollars
A 1911 Sun Yat Sen Dollar, and a 1914 Yuan Shek Kai Dollar (information courtesy of my Chinese pen pals).
Authenticity please ?
One on the left looks fake, not sure about the other.

(edit: maybe the type on the right should be here:https://en.numista.com/forum/topic10219.html)

To be honest I'm stumped on these two.

If they are fakes, these are probably some of the best faked Chinese dollars I've ever seen.

The one on the left has what appears to be verdigris at the "people" (is this right?) character, which shouldn't show up on silver.

Yeah, you're right (but it's used for people as a nation or group).

Now that you mention it, there is some fakeness on the left one. I'm looking at the crudeness of the top characters.

A silent indicator of Chinese fakes is the reeding. If the reeding overlaps or gets inconsistent at a certain point in the reeding, it's a fake, no questions asked.

Is that one on the left this: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photos/chine_republique/g221.jpg?
If so, the hair looks too curved.

There are a lot of unlisted varieties in World Coins regarding Chinese coins.

Therefore, we can't base it off of one image. It's better to check the dimensions (weight, reeding, density) rather than the design of the coin.
