Hi everyone, what do you guys think of this? Does it look authentic to you? Weight is right at 28g and diameter is only off by 1mm at 42mm. I’ve found two dies for 1572 and one is a visual match to my untrained eye. It’s definitely not cast as it has visibly been struck twice. Any insights would be amazing.

it also looks to be struck over another thaler there is remnants of the other wording from that thaler
I really appreciate you helping out. I’ve spent a few evenings researching and It’s definitely pretty interesting to look at. I’m not normally one for grading but do you think I should get it appraised?

Thats fine with me, I prefer my coins to be free in all honesty.
Any idea on value? Not too worried as I have no intent to sell but I am intrigued. Can only find 2 sales and the last was from like 2013.
Yeah it is a rare ass coin. not many 1500’s Pfalz/ palatine Thalers. I would have thought it fake if I did not carefully look and see the remnants of another design underneath which is very hard to replicate a overstruck coin correctly. One sec let me look at the past few sales.
