Iceland 2 aurar error

I was wondering if anybody knew if this is an error or not, look at the number 8 on the date in the picture.

Hi - it does look like the holes haven't been punched out properly; had same thing on a number 9 on a 20p but it stuck out a bit more. I sold that as an error coin; my opinion is that it is but I'm no expert. jay
