Hello, welcome aboard !
Please precise thé diameter and weight
The diameter is 15mm. I don't really have the instrument to weigh such a light object, so I can't confirm the weight.
First, give cropped pictures :
Then look to Numisdoc to find the emperor of this supposed coin from the Qing dynasty.
Unfortunately no emperor fits, so it's a charm with a stylized writting of "Boo Chiowan" on reverse.
Now .. it's more complex to decipher a charm, it takes more time, but it's usually possible :)
The first character on top is complex with many strokes.
The second character on bottom is surprising looking a bit like : 失 (but not really)
The two other horizontal characters are usuals : 寶通
So … finding what is this second character should be the next step !
The second character is 庆 which is the chinese simplified character of 慶, so a recent charm.
May be associated to 嘉 (嘉慶) but it would be a nonsense here.
Then several associations with other characters leads to happiness or luck, but I can't decipher the first character.
嘉庆通宝/Jiaqing Tongbao
I can make out the word on the top to be a "嘉“/Jia
What confuses me is that I have not seen one with a simplified Qing-庆
All examples of Jiaqing Tongbaos have a traditional character Qing-慶
On second thought, I'm 100% sure it spells 嘉庆通宝,Jiaqing Tongbao, I've studied that “mysterious” character for a good 30 minutes, and it indeed is a "嘉“ Jia
but now its the problem of the simplified Qing "庆“
