George IV Half Penny with "George IIII", 1825

This has been donated to our Oxfam shop.

I believe it's a half penny (diameter 27 mm) approx.)

It seems to be in superb condition (sorry I know that's not a technical grade!)

Can you help with the valuation for it - I've seen widely different valuations for similar coins online!

Thanks in advance

I believe it's a Farthing, not a ½ Penny. There are many auctions on the coin page for this coin. The differences in values are are somewhat dependent on the Grade (e.g. MS65 vs. MS63).

I believe yours is probably a XF-AU (im no expert at judging conditions of coins)

I am more experienced in the field of ancient and chinese coins, south-east asian coins included too!

thanks so much - that's really helpful :-)

sorry, after looking closer I think I will reevaluate it at VF to XF..?
