Hi!

I'm having troubles identifying an ancient Greek coin (might be fake?)

Weight: 1.23 g

Diameter: about 13 mm

Composition: silver

Obverse:

Reverse:

Jacob

I think its modern Fake Phoenician hemidrachm from Arados. But I recommend seeking out a specialist and certification, that's the only way to be sure.

Found with the same reverse, but the bust should be crowned.

ΘMP its the year 149 in Aradian, so 110-111 BCE

The coin should look like this.

or look like this

I've got one too, and I've considered it fake as well, with filed edges. It's the Arados type with Tiche and city wall headress. See description photo here: http://www.moneta-coins.com/showphoto.php?photo=1596&nocache=1

Moneta

Thanks for the replies! I think I can rule this out as a fake since the edges doesn't look quite right either
