Yes, it is VG. Not beautiful but surely very rare! Mintage 1.631.500
in Italy the value is around 100€ (hard to sell with those scratches), I don't know about the overseas evaluations  ;)

Any chance on you zooming in before you scan the coin. Most scanners have that option...otherwise we have got a massive picture with a very small coin! :wiz:

When you are scanning there should be a scanner program that you are using, you can highlight the coin and zoom in using the scanner and then crop the image afterwards.
