“No confirmed example” — that has got to be a mistake in the catalogue. If there weren't any confirmed examples, the values would be through the roof. As you can see from the Coins and Canada website, it's far from being the case.

That sounds right, I will submit is for correction!

Is there anything you can't buy with a C$100 back in 1954, apart from property, car and a few expensive items? This is why I like high value banknotes.

Using the Bank of Canada inflation calculator, and knowing that the Beattie/Rasminsky pair of signatures belonged to the 1961-1971 period, we can establish that $100 in 1961 is the equivalent of $1030 in 2024, while $100 in 1971 is like $763.21 in 2024.

Your problem back then was that no-one would have been able to make the change for, say, a $25 purchase…
