50 Dollar Coin/Token

Greetings, 

I need help in identifying this Coin/Token I was given. I have done little research on this Coin/Token and I haven't been able to find anything similar. It does say Galleria on it and the only Galleria that I know of is in Dallas, Texas (Galleria Dallas Mall). 

Here is what it says on the Coin/Token. 

Front:  $50 REDEEMABLE AT ANY STORE IN GALLERIA

Reverse: GALLERIA GOLD

In addition to what was said previously, It is simply a mall token that you can use at any Gallerina Mall anywhere in the country in any store. These days, many malls sell gift cards that you can purchase at the customer service area of the mall and then redeem at any store in that particular mall. I do so for the holidays for the ladies in my life so they can purchase whatever they like. You have $50 there at any Gallerina Mall.

There is a Galleria in Houston too.

Thanks for the Information. I was scratching my head with this one. Didn't know there was also a 10 and 20 Dollar Tokens. 

I was given this Token not as a gift or anything but from a seller I buy from. He told me he tried giving it to an older Asian guy but that Asian guy was kinda rude about the gift and didn't want it (I'm guessing he didn't speak any English). So after that he just gave it to me.

I was wondering how old the Token was. I remember when they did either Gift Certificates or Gift Cards but never seen someone do Tokens like that before and if its still good as in I can spend it but I don't think I will spend it at all.

Call the mall office. They may be able to tell you if they are still available and still offer them. If not, they may be able to tell you when they were last issued.  I also see no expiration date on your token as well. I would argue that it is still should be redeemable if you choose to do so.
