1912 p Dime

Does this appear to be harshly cleaned?  Maybe, still have some value to start that dime album.

Definitely cleaned but not harshly cleaned in my opinion. I dont see harsh abrasions or that washed out gray appearance a harsh cleaning would present.  Shame, it is otherwise a very nice example with very nice details remaining. VF + details / cleaned. It is still a very attractive example and a keeper. Better a cleaned example than no example if you are serious about collecting Barber Dimes.

Edit: I would add that all Barber types coins,  dimes, quarters, and half dollars were heavily circulated and to find one with this much detail remaining is a find in and of itself.

Agree, its perfect VF+ to start my dime album. I about have my Roosevelt dime 1946 -album almost complete. I'm going to post this  1914 D buffalo nickel I found, not sure if it is VG, but good enough to start my buffalo nickel album. I almost finished my Jefferson 1938 - album.

Appreciate the sagely advice.
