Eirakutsuho identification and genuine?

3 сообщений • просмотрено 121 раз

Hello,

I have recently come into possession of what I believe is a 1 mon eirakutsuho. The color, wear, oxidation, and clearness of the characters makes me believe it is genuine. Unfortunately I cannot determine the weight currently. Is it genuine? (N#221649)

However, I was unsure if this is the correct identification or whether it's another coin, such as this coin (N#20636)

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

The Japan version is the imitation of the Chinese version.

There are differences between those cash coins by examining the composition of the coin.

As mentioned in the page, Chinese version are bronze, while Japanese version are copper.

You can observe Chinese one looks yellowish, while Japanese one looks reddish, on the unoxidized part.

Regards

Chris
