Can anyone identify this medal?

I can't find this on Numista  about 4.3cm across - some kind f commemorative medal maybe?

Hi,

It's obviously a Dutch medal featuring King Willem II (1840-1849), the Arms on the reverse suggest it might be the symbol of the Royal Dutch Sailing and Rowing Association, featured in this medal from 1848:

It may also be the symbol of the Royal Dutch Yacht Club, of which Willem was patron. The nearest I've found is here:

But annoyingly it doesn't have the reverse image, so it's still a guess!

So I reckon it is something to do with one or other organisation.

Yes I found that picture, but no reverse image, so it wasn't really helpful as you say, I have trawled the internet with no luck.  I will add it to the catalogue with what info I can.
