Hello all
I very new to coin collecting and I'm looking for a bit of help to identify some markings on a coin I have. The coin itself is very degraded, but it seems to be a William III half penny dated 1700. You can just make out the shape of Britania above the date. I've noticed some symbols stamped into it and I've been told it's a counter stamp. What I would like to know if there anyone that recognises the counter stamp and has any information about it.
