Hello all,

I have a strange coin that I think to be Roman but would be a splinter state. Hard to tell but I am thinking that might be the case.

Here are the specs:

  • bronze composition
  • bust in center of one of the sides
  • 2.86g in weight
  • between 23 to 24 mm in diameter
  • around 1mm in thickness
  • also has a partial lettering of "-bisan"

Hope to hear what this is!

hello, bumping this up for an answer!

I open up the title to include anyone else as this is a coin that could be identifiable but I had no luck under just Rome.

Hoping someone knows what this is!

Hello all,

An old entry that still hasn't garnered any answers and I really would like to know what this is.

If anyone has any theories I very much would appreciate it!

Hello,

I am bumping this post up to see if there could be any information be provided on this coin.

Thanks!

[2.86gm / 23 to 24mm]

May be some religious token, with maybe SAN UNISAN lettering -

SAN = SANCTUS = SAINT is my guess.

The other side has a figure standing in a dress with bendy legs.

Guessing not a coin as no country or date or denomination.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

Huh, I didn't consider the reverse as such. Well I do think a token would match as there has been much responses on it being an actual coin.
