Those aren't coins.
Hello!
These are my rarities:

The first one didn't even have a page for it in Numista, I had to create it, and as soon as I added my specimen, the rarity index dropped from 100 to 97.
The second is a coin that was in a batch with several others, I know practically nothing about it, but according to the Numist rarity index, it is at 93.
Do you have the second one as Artois?
We had another thread on this subject here: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic67955.html
When I counted in 2022, I had over 70 coins with NRI of 97. Probably it' a lot fewer now.

Yes, it is a coin from the County of Artois. Here is the catalog entry for it, currently with an NRI of 93. Is this coin part of your field of interest?
I was just checking, since sometimes the coins from “Spanish Netherlands” are incorrectly identified as to the specific place.
I collect the places that were in Belgium (i.e., Brabant, Flanders, Namur, Tournai) but not Artois.

I don't have any other medieval coins, much less from Belgium. Actually, this coin came from a box with several coins; it was one of the pleasant surprises.
I don't know anything about this coin of mine, even though I've tried searching a lot on other sites, even the catalog for this coin is difficult to find 😮💨
I have the Gelder & Hoc catalog, so we can say that your coin is G.H. 215-9b, which was struck 1586-1590.

Thank you! Does this say anything about the price of this coin?
As a collector of and referee for some rather niche issuers, a good amount of my collection has a rarity score of 97 (Making me the sole owner)
Some of my favorites include these:
All three of these pages also use images of my own coins, as getting image sources for such niche issuers can be difficult. On the Fiknan one, only 6 specimens were known to Atakhojaev and Naymark at the publication of “Coins of the Sogdian Principality of Fiknan”, and I only know of 8 specimens personally

That gives good context on a coin that is truly rare!
I have only one coin which is probably of comparable rarity (only two examples findable on acsearch).
Most recent add to my collection at NRI 97 is this coin of Milan: N#471448. In a moment of weakness, I bought a coin that does not really fit any of my collecting themes because the imagery was so unusual.
I can predict with confidence that the NRI will decrease because it is NOT a rare coin, and was only added to the catalog 4 months ago.
On the other hand, 17 others of my 59 Italian coins have an NRI of 97, and many have been in the catalog for at least 3 years. As mentioned by Reslumi, some of mine are only somewhat rare, but are of little interest to most collectors, which is why their MRI is high.
The grosso varied in its relationship to the soldi in many of the Italian States, and in Milan was sometimes 1 ½ soldi, sometimes 2, 3, 4 or 5 soldi (also in Florence it varied to about the same extent).
So I think in this case the use of “of” is preferred (and is also consistent with how it is named in Italian numismatics).
Bought this coin today from a local antiques/bric a brac shop. Cost me £6.75. Rarity at 97, which means I am the only member to have this coin registered in their collection
I own an swedish Ferding from the 1500s (cant remember the exact date) which we know of 4 known specimens still exist (including mine)
How are you all finding which of your items have the highest rarity index? Do you just know offhand or is there a way to view/sort your Numista collection by rarity index?
There is no way to include the NRI in any form of Numista listing. People just know or guess.

Well I had to guess but my first guess was correct. Received it as a graduation gift, I had it graded and it came back genuine AU55 - Mom got a heck of a steal judging by those auction results
I have a token that i just made a page for yesterday. It just got accepted. Rarity: 97 N#519156
When i saw the post, my first guess was this one, because the photo is from my own coin. The rarity is 97, so im the only one in Numista that have it.

I bought it here in Brazil, from a seller friend of mine. Every now and then he finds some good stuff, and at a reasonable local price, since he sells then as unindentified, and often even with bits of soil. It was $80 reais ($15 dollars).
