Hi there as the title says I wanted to ask how I can see if I have a Calcutta mint or a Bombay minted coin.

Bombay mint has a bead / dot below the date. Calcutta no mint mark. There's an image of the 1928 Bombay mint coin in the middle of this page...

hi friend,

for certain years there is only Bombay mint and for some Calcutta mint only and for some years both mints. for some years Bombay is rare and for some other years Calcutta is rare. Calcutta is now called Kolkotta  and Bombay is called Mumbai.

Yeah I got confused with the name changes I think on all catalogue entries the 2 names for each mint should be noted to avoid confusion !
