Im just curious on how Numista values coins according to grade and whatnot.

As it is stated on every catalog page that has values:
Values in the table above are expressed in Your selected currency here. They are based on evaluations by Numista users and sales realized on Internet platforms. They serve as an indication only; they are not intended to be relied upon for buying, selling or exchanging. Numista does not buy or sell coins or banknotes.

Is there any way to amend a value? For example: N#8402
Here the value seems to be in order of magnitude incorrect compared to the auction history.
This value comes from a genuine auction but only a single one which I thought would not be enough to generate a visible value (I had thought three auctions).

Edit: no it's the 1336 variant and is like I thought as an outlier not enough to skew the other lower values.
You will have to contact a catalog admin to look into this specific one.

@Xavier can you look into the unrealisticly high values on the 1331 yearline?

Hello,
Thank you for reporting this incorrect value. It's fixed.
Thank you @Xavier , I am still seeing strange values, but maybe that is just a caching issue;

Objectively, and without overt criticism to a really brilliant website, I do believe that the Numista value estimation feature is fundamentally error prone. I am noticing anomalies in a high percentage of coins that I wish to swap. I have started a thread for constructive discussion here: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic169304.html
